ABOUT US

Small shed with big flavour.

Tin Shed Wines was born in a backyard in 1998, with a single wine called Single Wire Shiraz and a belief that great wine doesn’t need a big show. Just good fruit, gentle handling, and a little faith in flavour.

We craft minimal intervention wines that are vibrant, fresh, and unmistakably South Australian — from the rich Shiraz of Barossa Valley to the pristine Riesling of Eden Valley.

Every wine is small batch, wild fermented, vegan-friendly, and shaped with care by our winemaker and founder, Peter Clarke.

PETER CLARKE

Chef, restaurateur, and founder of Tin Shed Wines. Originally from New Zealand’s South Island, Pete leapt from pilot to chef in the 1980s, earning early acclaim for his bold, flavour-driven cooking. After moving to South Australia, he opened Vintners Bar & Grill in 1996, now a Barossa institution.

In 1998, he launched Tin Shed Wines with the same hands-on approach. Pete still leads our winemaking today, bringing a chef’s palate and a deep respect for flavour to every bottle.

DAN KILLEY & CLAIRE DOUGHTY

In 2019, Pete passed the reins to Dan and Claire, long-time wine lovers with a shared passion for quality, flavour and the Barossa way of life.

Dan brings decades of global wine industry experience, from sales and distribution to strategic growth. Claire leads the brand and storytelling, drawing on her background in wine marketing and creative direction. Together, they’ve kept Tin Shed’s heart beating strong, evolving the brand while staying true to its roots, and never missing a chance to fire up the Weber.

We’re proud to be a little different. We don’t have a cellar door (yet), but we’re always up for a good conversation. So whether you found us in a bottle shop, on a wine list, or through a mate, thanks for stopping by. We hope you stay a while.
